Shipping, Delivery, Returns & Refunds
Last updated: 14 July 2026
This policy explains how products and services purchased from AI For Business Northern Ireland are delivered and how cancellations, returns and refunds are handled.
Most of our products are digital downloads, online tools, training materials, customised digital products or professional services. We do not normally ship physical goods unless a product page specifically states otherwise.
1. Digital Products and Downloads
Digital products may include templates, toolkits, guides, training packs, downloadable resources and other digital content.
Where instant access is available, customers will normally receive access immediately after successful payment through the download page, order confirmation or email.
Please check your spam or junk folder if your confirmation email does not arrive. Contact us if you experience difficulty accessing your purchase.
By requesting immediate access to digital content during the statutory cancellation period, you may be asked to confirm that:
- you consent to the digital content being supplied immediately; and
- you understand that your right to cancel may be lost once the download or access begins.
This does not affect your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied as agreed. UK guidance states that express consent and acknowledgement are required before digital content is supplied during the cancellation period and the cancellation right is lost.
2. Online Tools and Free Resources
Free tools, quizzes and assessments are provided for general business information and guidance.
Results depend on the information entered by the user and should not be treated as legal, financial, regulatory or professional advice.
Access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
3. Services, Audits, Training and Coaching
Services may include:
- AI opportunity audits
- Business process and automation reviews
- AI training and coaching
- AI strategy and roadmaps
- EU AI Act readiness and governance support
- RoleMap AI services
- Custom GPTs, chatbots and automation solutions
- Website, branding and digital-content services
The delivery method, expected timescale, scope and agreed outputs will be shown on the relevant product page, booking confirmation, proposal or statement of work.
Where a service is scheduled, customers are responsible for providing the information, access, documents and feedback required to complete the work.
Delays in receiving customer information or approval may affect the agreed delivery date.
4. Custom and Personalised Work
Custom or personalised products may include branding, images, videos, websites, reports, automation builds, custom GPTs, templates or other work created to the customer’s specifications.
Once work has started, cancellation and refund rights may be limited where the customer has expressly requested that the service begin during the statutory cancellation period.
Where work has already begun following the customer’s request, the customer may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the work completed up to the date of cancellation.
Any included revisions will be stated on the relevant product page, proposal or order confirmation. Additional revisions or changes outside the agreed scope may incur an additional charge.
5. Physical Products and Shipping
We do not currently offer standard shipping for most products because they are delivered digitally or as professional services.
Where a physical product is offered, the product page or checkout will provide available delivery locations, shipping charges and estimated delivery times before the order is completed.
Unless otherwise agreed, physical orders will be delivered to the address supplied during checkout. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their delivery information is accurate.
We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect delivery details, postal disruption, customs procedures or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. However, this does not affect the customer’s statutory rights.
6. Cancelling an Online Order
Consumers purchasing online will usually have a legal right to cancel eligible orders within 14 days, although the start of the cancellation period and any exceptions depend on whether the purchase involves goods, services or digital content.
To request a cancellation, contact us clearly stating:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your order number;
- the product or service purchased; and
- that you wish to cancel the order.
Cancellation rights may not apply, or may end early, where:
- digital content has already been supplied after the customer gave express consent and acknowledged the loss of the cancellation right;
- a service has been fully completed after the customer expressly requested that it begin;
- a product has been made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised; or
- another statutory exemption applies.
7. Returns of Physical Goods
For eligible physical products purchased online, customers generally have 14 days from receipt to notify us that they wish to cancel and a further 14 days to return the goods.
Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, the customer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning it.
Returned products should be:
- securely packaged;
- unused, except for reasonable inspection;
- returned with all supplied parts and accessories; and
- accompanied by the order details.
We may make a reasonable deduction where the value of a product has been reduced because it was handled beyond what was necessary to inspect it.
Do not return an item until you have contacted us and received the correct return instructions.
8. Faulty, Damaged or Misdescribed Purchases
Contact us promptly if a product is faulty, damaged, misdescribed, inaccessible or not supplied as agreed.
Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, we may offer:
- correction of the issue;
- replacement access or files;
- repair or replacement;
- repeat performance of a service;
- a price reduction; or
- a full or partial refund.
Consumers retain their statutory rights relating to goods, services and digital content. This policy does not remove or restrict those rights. Northern Ireland business guidance confirms that consumers may have rights to remedies where goods are faulty and that distance-selling cancellation rights may also apply.
9. Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless another method is agreed.
Refunds will normally be processed within 14 days of the date on which the refund becomes due. For returned physical goods, we may wait until the goods are received or evidence of return is supplied, where permitted by law.
The time taken for the refund to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
Original standard delivery charges will be refunded where legally required. Additional charges chosen for premium or expedited delivery may not be refundable beyond the cost of standard delivery.
10. Missed Appointments and Rescheduling
Where a service includes an appointment, customers should provide as much notice as possible if they need to reschedule.
Appointments may be rescheduled subject to availability.
Where a customer fails to attend or gives insufficient notice, we may retain some or all of the fee where this reflects the time reserved, preparation completed and costs reasonably incurred. Any specific cancellation terms shown during booking will also apply, provided they are fair and consistent with the customer’s statutory rights.
11. Business-to-Business Purchases
Some statutory consumer cancellation rights apply only to individuals purchasing mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
Where a product or service is purchased on behalf of a business, cancellation, delivery and refund terms may instead be governed by the relevant proposal, licence agreement, statement of work, order confirmation or business contract.
Nothing in this policy excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
